This place is absolutely amazing. Exit 4 (Route 219 South Deep Creek Lake). The Victorian Chautauqua. The first floor has an interesting mix of items relating to transportation including restored vintage autos, a fire engine, buggies, bicycles, toys, tools, etc., with many informational placards. There are restrooms and ample parking. Two adults visited this small, free museum for a couple of hours in mid-June 2023 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Feel free to bring your friends, a stroller, or your four-legged friend. Amenities include restrooms and bath houses, playgrounds, volleyball, basketball courts, ball fields, lifeguarded bathing beach. We rented a pontoon boat for the morning.
